I was promoted to drive the global transformation of SAP Digital Business Services (DBS) by evolving, communicating and executing the global strategy. I enable customer and ecosystem success, SAP growth and a great workplace for 22,000 professionals who deliver €15B of annual revenue. I aligned global and business unit strategies and drove three-year business planning process resulting in 2018 all-time high customer net promoter score of 9.2 of 10 and employee engagement at all-time high above SAP average.Contributed to 13% service revenue growth to €3.25B through global and business strategy – supporting SAP Digital Business Services in instrumentally generating ~ 65% of SAP revenue.I improved market perception and differentiation as spokesperson to industry analysts, resulting in higher favorable ratings and positive coverage in support of services demand generation and sales.

Global VP of Strategy and Growth

For 2.5 exhilarating years, I was Chief of Staff for the President of SAP Business Networks and Applications group, who was also a board member of SAP. Working with Steve Singh, six business unit presidents and other executive leaders, I improved our operational effectiveness and served as a trusted adviser, with SAP earning €2B in cloud revenue and 20% annual growth. As a team, we exceeded our key financial and organizational goals while simultaneously growing the businesses and increasing integrating with SAP. I provided operational, change management, and leadership support, enabling division to scale from 1 to 6 cloud business units in 2 years. The division included Concur, Ariba, Fieldglass, Connected Health, ERP and Front-office applications for small and medium businesses and Data as a Service. Enterprise spend on SAP Ariba network exceeded $1B, SAP Concur users grew 25% yearly to exceed 50M, and external workers connecting to SAP Fieldglass customers grew 50% annually – reaching 4.3M million in 180+ countries.

Chief of Staff to SAP Board Member, SAP Business Networks & Applications Group

I advanced to Chief of Staff to President and COO of Concur, improving operational cadence and quality of the Concur executive team interactions, co-leading strategic planning with finance (FP&A) and ensuring President’s priorities were achieved.I oversaw an $8.3B acquisition integration of Concur and SAP, laying foundation for SAP’s most successful acquisition, as measured by performance against acquisition business case. I also executed the annual strategic planning process and organized regular business reviews, improving transparency and effectiveness of executive leadership team.

I was promoted and successfully led product management across platforms and web services, delivering value by connecting customers, suppliers, travelers, and developers, leading a 6-person team. Directed product management of the webservices platform delivering new and enhanced public API’s, better developer experience and more 3rd party applications for SAP Concur customers.I built a technical consulting team that improved quality and speed of ecosystem developments – reducing time to answer complex app developer support questions by ~25%, improving speed of software error resolution by ~20%.Inspired employee engagement and increased productivity by 50% through disciplined and personalized performance management – doubling annual rate of application additions with a 50% increase in resources.I restructured the 3rd party application review process – eliminating backlog to 0 within 6 months.

Senior Director, Platform and Web Services

I proactively drove innovation in a portfolio of products serving enterprise travel, expense and risk management customers, with a talented team of developers, product marketers and other experts. Combined role achievements:I developed two new B2B/B2C business SaaS offerings: Concur TripLink and Concur Locate. Concur TripLink is strategically significant, as it allows a way to capture employee spend that occurs outside a corporate booking tool, within a SaaS Travel Management app. It also enables employees to book directly on airline, hotel or other vendor websites and have that reservation information automatically forwarded to Concur – a first of its kind market differentiator.I also shaped strategy and drove client adoption of Concur mobile application 265% annually across all major smartphone platforms.

Senior Director, Product Development and Mobile Strategy

Advanced across more complex and wide-ranging roles, from Identity Theft and Fraud, to Professional Liability and Commercial Insurance segments. I guided a cross functional team to harmonize eight professional liability insurance products. I led up to 5 employees and budget.I executed senior underwriting of security, privacy, media and technology liability insurance. Underwriting the largest and most complex cyber risk insurance policy in the industry at the time (2009) for a global financial institution with $2.2T in assets and $121B in revenue. I rebuilt a new business pipeline to prior levels with 2/3rd fewer underwriting resources.

VP, Commercial Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Liability Divisions

I held P&L responsibility, increasing revenue 350% over two years to $6M annually, insuring 7 million individuals for identity theft, consumer fraud and payment card risks.Retained renewal policies at level consistent with other profit centers, maintaining a profitable portfolio of accounts and improved broker and client satisfaction for financial institutions, health insurers, technology companies, payment card networks and other Fortune 500 companies worried about cyber risks such as data breaches.I created or re-launched three insurance products, generating $2M in 1st year new premium: Corporate Identity Protection, Bank Card Protector and Corporate Counsel Premier.I led business development for Avantrust, a fintech start-up focused on mitigating e-commerce risks, which was folded into AIG proper to focus on insurance business.

Established a joint venture between e-STEEL (an e-commerce marketplace for the steel industry, Mitsui and Mitsubishi, (2 leading Japanese trading companies).  Evaluated value-added services such as credit, logistics and risk management.

Profit and loss (P&L) responsibility for Reuters subsidiary which operated GLOBEX(r), a trading platform for futures and option used by the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) and MATIF, the French futures exchange.  The platform extended to 500 workstations in Chicago, New York, Bermuda, London, Paris, Frankfurt, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore.
