Cantor at Temple Beth Tikvah
Nancy Kassel is the Cantor at Temple Beth Tikvah in Roswell, Georgia, a position she has held since 1997. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Georgia State University and her Master’s degree from Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion: School of Sacred Music.12 Prior to her tenure at Temple Beth Tikvah, she served as cantor for Temple Sinai in Oakland, California.1
In her role, Cantor Kassel collaborates closely with Rabbi Alexandria Shuval-Weiner, co-officiating worship services and various life cycle events within the congregation. She also oversees B’nei Mitzvah tutoring and directs both the Adult and Junior choirs.14 Her contributions extend beyond the synagogue; she has been involved with the American Conference of Cantors (ACC), serving on various committees including the Placement Advisory Group and the T’filah Committee.23

Raised in Atlanta, she enjoys spending time with family, including her son Jacob.1
