Nalaka Kahawatte

Nalaka Kahawatte is an accomplished Engineering and Operations Leader known for his impressive history of successfully managing multidisciplinary teams and creating highly-integrated systems for various commercial airplane programs and factory automation. He has a diverse educational background, having pursued an MBA+MS as a Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) Fellow at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an M.S. in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from the University of California, Davis, and a B.S. in Mechatronic Engineering from California State University, Chico. Nalaka has held significant roles in renowned organizations such as Boeing and Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen. At Boeing, he served as a Senior Manager in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Manager in 737 Final Assembly, Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) Fellow, Engineering Manager in BCA Environmental Control Systems (ECS) Core, Lead Engineer in various airplane product development teams, and Mechanical Systems Design Engineer for the 737 MAX ECS. His career also includes experiences as a Venture Architect, Graduate Student Researcher, and Engineer in different capacities.
