With a background in Criminology & Criminal Justice from The University of Texas at Arlington and Sociology/Criminal Justice from Abilene Christian University, Nakia has a solid educational foundation.

Professionally, she has held key roles such as a Coordinator V in the Equity & Excellence Department at Fort Worth ISD and as a Middle School Science Teacher, demonstrating her expertise in community affairs and education.

Nakia's passion for community service led her to establish the non-profit organization N2C Youth & Community Services, showcasing her initiative and dedication to making a difference.

Her extensive experience includes working in various capacities such as Resident Service Coordinator at Fort Worth Housing Authority, Probation Officer at Tarrant County Juvenile Services, and Behavior Interventionist at Lena Pope.
