    Nageswara (Nagi) S. V. Rao is a distinguished Corporate Fellow in the Computer Science and Mathematics Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, a role he undertook in 1993. With a rich academic background, Nagi received his B.Tech in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, India in 1982, followed by an M.E. in Computer Science and Automation from the prestigious Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India in 1984. He further pursued his academic endeavors, obtaining a PhD in Computer Science from Louisiana State University in 1988.

    Throughout his career, Nagi Rao has made significant contributions to the fields of sensor networks, information fusion, and high-performance networking, garnering a remarkable publication record of over 350 technical papers in leading conferences and journals. A distinguished Fellow of IEEE, Nagi was honored with the prestigious 2005 IEEE Technical Achievement Award for his groundbreaking work in the realm of information fusion.

    Nagi Rao's expertise and research acumen have attracted funding from various federal agencies, including the National Science Foundation, Department of Energy, Department of Defense, Domestic Nuclear Detection Office, and Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Notably, he served as the Technical Director at the C2BMC Knowledge Center at Missile Defense Agency from 2008 to 2010, further showcasing his versatile skill set and leadership in diverse environments.

    Currently holding the esteemed position of Corporate Fellow at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Nagi Rao continues to push the boundaries of computer science and mathematics, shaping the landscape of cutting-edge research and innovation in collaboration with leading institutions and government entities.
