Nafis Jamal

Nafis Jamal is a Venture Partner at Accel, having joined the firm in September 2024. He has been part of the Accel ecosystem for nearly 15 years, during which he founded two notable companies: MoPub, which was acquired by Twitter in 2013, and Elements, acquired by Circle in 2022. His experience also includes a role as a product manager at AdMob, which was acquired by Google in 2010.12

Jamal's expertise lies in working with early-stage teams focused on consumer and enterprise applications, particularly in areas such as AI and fintech. He is recognized for his ability to connect technological value with equity value, emphasizing a pragmatic approach to building viable companies.12 He holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from Stanford University in Electrical Engineering and Physics, although he did not complete his PhD.2

In addition to his roles as a founder, Jamal has served as an advisor and angel investor to various startups within the Accel network, showcasing his commitment to fostering innovation and trusted relationships within the tech community.12
