Responsible for the development of advanced automotive intelligent electrical systems and components for electrified, connected and automated vehicles to enhance vehicle safety, comfort and efficiency.  These include: semi-autonomous and autonomous vehicles, Intravehicle wireless, vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communications; and infotainment systems; automotive systems diagnostics and prognostics (vehicle health management); automotive Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS).  Also, led all R&D activities in areas of electronics and control software globally and coordinated research in this area, internally with sister research Labs and engineering customers; and externally with collaborators at Universities, National Labs, suppliers, and other automotive OEMs (USCAR).  
Co-director of two GM-Canegie Melon University Colaborative Research Labs (CRLs) with focus on 1) Vehicular Information Systems and 2) Autonomous Driving.
