Nadim Atalla
Building the world's first urban farm design software: Agritecture Designer
Nadim Atalla, originating from Jordan, a country facing water scarcity, is dedicated to conserving water and enhancing the water cycle through initiatives like urban farming, green spaces, and regenerative agricultural methods.
Currently, Nadim is focused on developing an urban agriculture design tool aimed at facilitating the creation of vertical farms, greenhouses, rooftop farms, and community gardens, fostering sustainability and eco-friendly practices.
With a background in Physics from Duke University and high school education in Science at American Community School Amman, Jordan, Nadim brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective to his projects.
Nadim has held various roles in organizations like Agritecture as a Product Manager, Safari Energy, LLC as a Solar Process Engineer and Solar Designer, Wildlife Conservation Society as a Freelance Web Developer, and Five Points Learning as a SAT Tutor.
Additionally, Nadim has experience as an Engineering Support Specialist at America Green Solar, an Experimental Physicist at Solar PiezoClean, a Lab TA at Duke Physics Department, a Technology Intern at BlocPower, a Research Assistant at Duke Neutrino Group, a Programming Intern at NA3M, and a Quality Assurance Intern at Quirkat, showcasing his diverse skill set and interests.
