Nadav Remez is a talented, emerging jazz guitarist hailing from the outskirts of Tel Aviv, Israel. He is a graduate of the prestigious Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts and earned a Bachelor of Music in Performance from Berklee College of Music. He then earned a Master of Music in Jazz from the New England Conservatory of Music. Remez has been praised for his poignant melodies, rich harmonies, and stirring improvisations, which combine modern jazz, Jewish folk, and alternative rock. His debut album, So Far, released in 2011, drew acclaim from leading jazz publications, including JazzTimes and Jazz Wise Magazine, which awarded it four stars. Remez has shared the stage with such leading artists as Omer Avital, Greg Tardy, Avishai Cohen, Jonathan Blake, and Daniel Zamir, among many others. Remez is a regular member of the New Jerusalem Orchestra and has performed at numerous festivals worldwide, including the Montreux Jazz Festival, Palatia Jazz Festival, and Bologna Jazz Festival. Recent club dates include some of the most well-known jazz clubs in the United States, such as Smalls and Blue Note in New York City, Beehive in Boston, and Twins Jazz in Washington, D.C.
