Nada Zohdy is a seasoned nonprofit leader and social entrepreneur with a strong background in democracy advocacy and community building.
With over a decade of experience as a democracy advocate and more than 15 years in community building, Nada has honed her skills in creating and implementing mission-driven strategies and fostering partnerships.
Currently serving as the Global Network Lead at the Obama Foundation, Nada is instrumental in connecting over 1,000 alumni of the Foundation's leadership programs across 100+ countries to collaborate on various social change initiatives, including addressing global democracy challenges.
During her tenure as the leader of the Open Gov Hub (OGH) in Washington DC from 2015 to 2022, Nada significantly expanded the organization's reach and impact, doubling membership, quadrupling programs, partnerships, and team size, and securing substantial sponsorships for members.
With a track record of working with 150+ nonprofits, Nada has been actively involved in capacity building, fostering collaborations, and mentoring social enterprises.
Nada's educational background includes a Master's in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Arabic from Michigan State University, where she was recognized as a Truman Scholar in 2009.
Passionate about civic engagement and community empowerment, Nada has held key roles in various organizations, including the Obama Foundation, Open Gov Hub, Project On Middle East Democracy, and many others.
An Egyptian-American based in Washington, D.C., Nada is known for her expertise in social capital, community building, and her dedication to creating positive social change.
Apart from her professional endeavors, Nada enjoys biking, practicing yoga, and frequenting local coffee shops in her community.
