In terms of education, Mwansa Njelesani-Kaira pursued a Master's degree in International Affairs from Carleton University and a Bachelor's degree with first-class Honors in Political Science and French from Dalhousie University.
With an impressive professional background, Mwansa Njelesani-Kaira has held key positions in various renowned organizations. Currently, Mwansa serves as the Senior Advisor for Prevention and Behavioral Interventions at JSI under the USAID DISCOVER-Health project.
Prior to this role, Mwansa Njelesani-Kaira worked as the Regional HIV Programme Officer focusing on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) at UNESCO. Additionally, Mwansa has served as the National Coordinator for the SRH-HIV linkages Programme at UNFPA.
Furthermore, Mwansa Njelesani-Kaira's vast experience includes a directorial position at Development Data Zambia, a role as the Gender & HIV Specialist at UNAIDS-Zambia, and a tenure as the Special Assistant to the UN Special Envoy on AIDS in Africa at the Office of UN Special Envoy on HIV & AIDS in Africa.
Among other prominent roles, Mwansa Njelesani-Kaira has contributed as the Africa Regional Programme Adviser at World AIDS Campaign, the Strategic Programme Adviser at Youth Vision Zambia, and the HIV Programme Coordinator at TakingITGlobal.
