Murray Macdonald is a South African entrepreneur and computer scientist with a diversified professional background. Macdonald graduated from the University of Johannesburg with a BSc Honours in Computer Science. He is also an alumnus of Jeppe High School for Boys, where he excelled in English, Afrikaans, Maths, Science, Accountancy, and Computer Science.

Macdonald co-founded Just Insurance, where he serves as the Chief Product Officer. Before starting Just Insurance, he founded and served as CEO of Lansera, an IT solutions provider. He later became an Enterprise Solutions Architect at Aspen Insurance Group, where he designed and implemented various IT solutions. Before then, he worked as a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer at Neon.

Macdonald's experience extends beyond IT. He has previously worked in financial services, holding business development positions at K2 and HP Autonomy. He also served as an Associate Technical Director at Arete Research and as a Technical Support Supervisor at MWEB.
