Murad Sofizade
Murad Sofizade is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with expertise in private equity, venture capital, telecommunications, technology, and satellite value chain. He has founded multiple startups and held executive roles in diverse industries such as software engineering, consumer goods, and education.
During his tenure at Svitla Systems, a leading software engineering firm that operates in Ukraine, Mexico, and Montenegro, he served as Senior VP of Business Development. Prior to this, he co-founded TravelTipz, a travel website that combines AI and human curation to suggest customized travel routes. Murad also served as CEO of IPNet, a satellite telecom company that was ranked as Russia's fastest-growing high-tech company during his tenure.
Murad holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School of Government. He is a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and also a President of Harvard Club of Russia.
His specialties include executive management, deal origination, negotiation, execution, and investment exits. Murad co-authored the "Global education for Russians" program aimed at sending 10,000 Russian students to study in the world's top universities before returning home.
