Brittany McLaren, MSW, LCSW

Msw Brittany McLaren is a clinical social worker with expertise in psychosocial assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, and information/referral services.

She is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer with a diverse background having worked in hospitals, schools, and various government and non-profit agencies.

Brittany is fluent in Spanish and has gained experience working in Peruvian hospitals during her career.

Her educational background includes a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) with a focus on Gerontology from Boston University School of Social Work, a Graduate Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) from San Diego State University-California State University, and a BA in Sociology and Anthropology from The University of Connecticut.

In terms of professional experience, she has served as a Palliative Care Social Worker at Sutter Health, Social Services Manager at Uphams Corner Health Center, Licensed Certified Social Worker at Boston Medical Center (BMC) on a Per Diem/On-Call basis, and as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker at Uphams Corner Health Center.

Brittany has also interned at Uphams Corner Health Center and Lilla G. Frederick Pilot Middle School, worked as a Youth Development Specialist at Peace Corps, a Receivership Services Assistant at Trigild, and as a Facilitator at UConn Connects.
