Mst Matt Boulanger

Mst. Matt Boulanger has been serving as the Planning Director for the Town of Williston, Vermont since June 2008, assuming the role of Director in August 2018.

In addition to his position as the Certified Local Government Coordinator for the Williston Village National Register Historic District, Matt also fulfills the role of Williston's Zoning Administrator.

His responsibilities encompass a wide array of planning matters including current and long-range planning, design review, transportation planning, transferable development rights, land conservation, and impact fees within the Williston community.

Matt is concurrently pursuing a Master's Degree in Sustainable Transportation from the University of Washington, showcasing his dedication to sustainable urban development.

With a robust background in public service, Matt has served in various capacities in Vermont, Cape Cod, and Montana, demonstrating a commitment to community and regional development.

He holds membership with the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), highlighting his expertise and commitment to professional planning standards.

Matt's academic journey includes studies in European Environmental Policy at Denmark International Study (DIS), a Bachelor of Sciences in Environmental Studies and Geology from Saint Lawrence University, and his ongoing pursuit of a Master of Science in Sustainable Transportation at the University of Washington College of Engineering.

Throughout his career, Matt has held key positions such as Founder at Vermont Goldsprints, Senior Planner at Town of Williston, Vermont, Planner I at Missoula County, Land Management Specialist at The Compact of Cape Cod Conservation Trusts, Conservation Agent at Town of Bourne, and Member at AmeriCorps Cape Cod.
