Dr. Mouaz Al-Mallah is a distinguished medical professional with a strong background in cardiovascular PET imaging and nuclear cardiology.

He obtained his medical degree from the American University of Beirut and underwent training at prestigious institutions in the USA, including Henry Ford Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital - Harvard Medical School, and the University of Michigan.

Dr. Al-Mallah has a remarkable history of contributions to the field, having previously led the cardiac imaging center at King Abdulaziz Cardiac Center and established the first dedicated Cardiac PET unit in the Middle East.

He currently serves as the Director of Cardiovascular PET at Houston Methodist Hospital and holds the position of Associate Director of Nuclear Cardiology, demonstrating his expertise and leadership in the field.

With a focus on advanced cardiac imaging procedures, Dr. Al-Mallah's research has delved into the prognostic value of techniques such as cardiac CT, cardiac PET, nuclear cardiology, and coronary calcium scoring, influencing risk prediction, patient management, and outcomes.

His extensive publication record includes over 250 publications and book chapters, exploring various aspects of cardiovascular imaging and its impact on patient care.

An active member of American and European cardiovascular councils, Dr. Al-Mallah also contributes to the editorial boards of esteemed journals like Atherosclerosis, JACC, and EHJ-cardiovascular imaging.

Throughout his career, he has been recognized with numerous awards, such as the Francis N. Fernandez Fellowship Award and the Best Teacher Award from Henry Ford Hospital, underscoring his dedication to research and education.

Dr. Mouaz Al-Mallah's educational background includes a Master's in Clinical Research and Biostatistics from the University of Michigan, a Cardiac Imaging Fellowship from Harvard University, and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the American University of Beirut.

His extensive experience is further highlighted by his past roles as a Board of Directors Member at the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, Associate Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University, and various leadership positions in prestigious healthcare institutions.
