Moritz Maier

Moritz Maier is a prominent aerospace engineer and entrepreneur, serving as the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Synera, a deep-tech startup focused on revolutionizing the engineering sector through innovative technologies. He has a strong academic background, having obtained a doctorate in product development processes, which laid the foundation for his expertise in model-based engineering and generative design.

At Synera, Maier is dedicated to developing a low-code platform for Connected Engineering, which aims to enhance collaboration across different departments by integrating various CAD and FEA tools. This platform supports model-based engineering and seeks to improve automation efficiency, ultimately contributing to sustainable product development.1

Before founding Synera in August 2018, Maier held several significant positions, including Senior Consultant at umlaut company and Head of Research and Development at the Alfred Wegener Institute, where he focused on innovative lightweight solutions.
