Monis Rahman is a Pakistani internet entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and businessman.35 He is best known for co-founding Rozee.pk, one of Pakistan's largest job portals.1 Rahman is widely recognized as a pioneer of Pakistan's tech startup ecosystem, playing a key role in the development of the industry.1 He is also the co-founder and executive chairman of Naseeb Networks, Inc., a business-oriented social network used primarily for online job recruiting.35 Forbes named him #6 on its list of top "Ten Big Hitting Asian Businessmen under 50".36
Rahman was born in Pakistan and grew up in the United States, where he earned a degree in Computer Science from the University of Michigan.1 He completed graduate work at Stanford University and started his career at Intel Corporation as a member of Intel's microprocessor design team.4 Rahman has also founded and run several companies ranging from Internet startups to chip design consultancies.4 He has raised venture capital for two Internet startups in Silicon Valley and has nine patents to his credit.4
In 2007, Monis Rahman co-founded Rozee.pk, an online job portal aimed at connecting job seekers with employers in Pakistan.1 In 2013, Rozee.pk acquired Saudi employment website Mihnati.com.3 After serving as CEO of Rozee for over a decade, Rahman stepped down in December 2021.2 Shahid Hosain Kazi took over as the new CEO.2 Rahman is still involved with Rozee as chairman.2 He is also the co-founder and CEO of Dukan, a full-stack e-commerce operating system digitizing MSMEs and their supply chains.2
