    Monique Verdin

    Monique Verdin is a citizen of the Houma Nation, steward of The Land Memory Bank & Seed Exchange, and a member of the Another Gulf Is Possible Collaborative.13 She serves on the Advisory Board of The Hive Fund for Climate & Gender Justice, providing governance oversight and helping set strategic vision and priorities for the Fund.12

    Verdin is an interdisciplinary storyteller who documents the complex relationship between environment, culture, and climate in southeast Louisiana.5 As Director of the Land Memory Bank & Seed Exchange since 2015, she works to preserve the stories and seeds of her community.3

    In addition to her work with The Hive Fund, Verdin has also served as a Board Member at ARTSPOT PRODUCTIONS, INC. She participated in the Hive Fund's Advisory Board retreat in Houston in late February 2020.4
