Mona Benisi
Mona Benisi is the Executive Director and Global Head of Sustainability for Real Assets at Morgan Stanley Investment Management.134 In this role, she leads the strategic development and execution of ESG initiatives for Morgan Stanley's real estate and infrastructure investments.1
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2020, Benisi held several sustainability leadership positions at Simon Property Group, including Vice President of Corporate Sustainability and Senior Director of Sustainability from 2014 to 2020.2 She has also worked as a Sustainability Manager in the Corporate Sustainability Office at Siemens in Munich, Germany.2
Benisi holds a Master of Science in Environmental and Sustainability Studies from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Business from Georg-Simon-Ohm University in Nuremberg, Germany.2 She is fluent in German, Persian, and English, with elementary proficiency in Arabic, French, and Spanish.2
Benisi has been recognized for her leadership in sustainability, receiving the Environmental Leader "Person of the Year" Award in 20182 and the Women in Sustainability Leadership Award from Green Building & Design / Greenbiz in 2021.2
