I took my first org psych class in college.
I wrote my senior thesis on ways to increase employee engagement.
I worked at the college career center helping my peers explore and craft careers.

After 10+ years in human-centered companies like IDEO and EY, it was clear to me that career development is broken. In fact, the number one reason employees cite for workplace dissatisfaction is a lack of career development. 

Why is it that we have a career center in college then graduate and are left to manage our squiggly careers with so little formal support? My life's mission is to make "lifelong career support" a thing. Please reach out if you share this mission.

As a Senior Project Lead, I led multidisciplinary teams in using the design thinking process to innovate new products and services, set near and far term strategy, and build new ventures for IDEO clients. This role functions as a mini GM, and also includes activities like public speaking, workshop facilitation, pitching + storytelling, and business development.

As a Business Designer, I was responsible for ensuring projects were commercially viable, aligned with our clients’ vision, strategy, and objectives, and supported by the right organizational structure, people, and culture. I designed business models, operational processes, go-to-market plans, business cases, and teams.

I helped the Restaurant Partnerships team to clearly message Deliveroo's value to potential restaurant partners. This included creating marketing materials, conducting and analyzing surveys, and coaching new Deliveroo sales hires.

During my second MBA year, I came back to Deliveroo as part of the operations team, helping to build a new driver scheduling and incentives structure. I spent time meeting with drivers and operations staff to understand their needs for a new system, and combined these insights with best practices from peer companies to make recommendations to leadership on critical features of the new structure.

Atomico is an international technology investment firm, focused on helping the world’s most disruptive technology companies reach their full potential on a global scale. 

As an summer intern on the investment team, I assisted in sourcing deal flow, evaluating startups in the pipeline, meeting entrepreneurs and founding teams, and performing market research and due diligence on active deals. I also completed a comprehensive research project on the Artificial Intelligence landscape which culminated in a firm-wide Lunch & Learn presentation.

Sidebench is a next generation technology consultancy and interactive studio, based in Los Angeles. I helped Sidebench enhance its sales, business development, and marketing efforts by exploring new methods of Lead Generation, Lead Nurturing, and Marketing, with a focus on our Augmented Reality, beacon technology, and blog redesign services. I first categorized Sidebench's product offerings, and then devised sales strategies for each customer group/product. I implemented new processes to smoothly bring client targets through each phase of the sales cycle. As part of my goal to automate many of Sidebench's sales process, I explored several different CRM options and then implemented the one we chose. I also used A/B testing, content creation, and relationship mapping to bring in more customers.

As the President of the Student Association, I managed a cross-functional executive team of 40 officers in overseeing 75+ clubs, organizing campus-wide events, shaping the student experience, and fostering a strong community. I worked with diverse stakeholders to solve school-wide problems, project managed several large initiatives, and served on the Governing Body (Board of Directors) and Dean Search Committee.

I focused on clients' strategies and needs in determining how my EY teams could more effectively serve our clients and create innovative solutions to their business challenges. This included managing teams of consulting, accounting, and valuation professionals in driving opportunities, developing client relationships, and building growth-oriented account plans. I managed three global accounts across three industries: a media conglomerate, a satellite broadcaster, and a private equity/asset management firm. 

In addition to my account-specific role, I performed market research and analysis on EY clients and industries. I used these analyses to recommend client pursuit targets and to identify under-served markets.  I also helped project manage region-wide revenue planning, and helped develop a markets website for the BD team.  I served as the West Region expert in EY’s Growing Beyond Borders software, a tool used in client meetings to facilitate conversations on international growth using client-relevant global statistics.

Business Development

I started my career in Audit, where I led teams of finance professionals in improving the security of our financial markets by performing well planned, efficient, and quality-driven financial audits in both the public and private sectors. My responsibilities included managing day-to-day audit activities, supervising teams of audit associates, maintaining the project’s budget, and communicating daily with client executives. I performed detailed analysis of clients’ revenue and expense accounts, and used critical thinking in evaluating soundness of financial statements. I also helped lead regional, insurance industry training, and campus recruiting efforts. My main client was a public FinTech company based in Los Angeles.
