Shapers Malaysia was formed as Indah Profiles Sdn. Bhd. in 1999. This private limited company changed it's name to Shapers Malaysia in 2011. In 2001 we choose Halal as something that we wanted to focus and propel forward. Shapers was solely responsible to moot the idea of a global Halal trade fair and got organisation like The Islamic Daa'wah Foundation Malaysia (YADIM) to support this idea. In 2004 Shapers founded, organised and managed the inaugral MALAYSIA INTERNATIONAL HALAL SHOWCASE (MIHAS) under the patronage of YADIM and the management know how and financial support of Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew (the founder and managing director Mines Resort City). By 2007, Shapers positioned MIHAS as the world largest halal showcase which provided the inspiration for the organising of 16 other Halal related events around the world such as the WORLD HALAL FORUM and etc. MIHAS has continuously been held since 2004 and has gathered over 500 booth annually from 30 countries and over 30,000 visitors from over 60 countries to trade at MIHAS. Over USD 300 Million are traded during MIHAS and its special trade matching program annually. Today MIHAS is wholly owned by the Government of Malaysia through MATRADE and Shapers continue to be the Manager of MIHAS. In October 2011, Shapers in collaboration with the Halal Industry Development Corp (HDC), Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) and CIMB Islamic Bank organised a new Halal exposition for consumer entitled HALAL FIESTA MALAYSIA (HALFEST 2011) which brought together 654 booth from around Malaysia and attracted 50,000 visitor. MIHAS, HALFEST and a few other initiatives that are still on Shapers drawing board is our contribution and effort to ensure that Halal truly becomes an industry of its own right with the support of a proper market which we believe is not in existence yet.
