Mohammed Alqubaisi, a prominent figure in the finance sector, is the Chairman of Finance House, a key finance company in the UAE situated in Abu Dhabi.
Alqubaisi boasts an impressive background in banking and finance within the UAE, with substantial experience in various leadership roles.
Apart from his Chairmanship at Finance House, he plays pivotal roles on the boards of numerous prominent public and private companies across the UAE and GCC, with interests spanning finance, investment, insurance, real estate, construction, and IT sectors.
With a notable track record, Alqubaisi previously held the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, the largest Islamic Bank in the UAE during his tenure.
Prior to that, he dedicated a decade of his career to the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD), the UAE's largest conventional bank at that time, overseeing diverse operations including Domestic, International, and Capital Markets.
Alqubaisi's leadership extends beyond his executive positions, as he has actively contributed to the boards of esteemed institutions such as Visa International, Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, and Qatar Telecom.
Renowned for his pioneering work in UAE Capital Markets, Alqubaisi played a significant role in shaping the de facto UAE stock market at NBAD before the establishment of official stock exchanges. He has been intricately involved in numerous Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) of UAE companies since 1993.
Throughout his career, Alqubaisi has spearheaded the establishment of multiple financial entities including stock brokerage operations, insurance companies, banks, finance companies, and investment firms.
Alqubaisi's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, which may have undoubtedly contributed to his analytical and strategic acumen in the finance sector.
