Mohammad Dourou

Mohammad Dourou is the co-founder of Collabüro, a co-working space located in Ottawa, Canada.12 He opened Collabüro with his wife Hanan Mahmoud in a former German Evangelical Martin Luther Church at 499 Preston Street in Little Italy, Ottawa.1 Dourou, a 38-year-old entrepreneur, purchased the 4,200-square-foot building in early 2019 and spent eight months renovating it into a modern, vibrant co-working space.1

Dourou's background is in IT services, and he developed the idea for Collabüro after spending considerable time working from various coffee shops and co-working spaces in Ottawa.1 The space can accommodate about 70 people and offers flexible work arrangements, including daily and monthly desk rentals, as well as 24/7 access for members.1

On LinkedIn, Dourou describes himself as "Removing office set up headaches for freelancers, remote workers, startups, and small businesses".2 He aims to provide a professional working environment that eliminates the hassles of setting up a traditional office while offering a vibrant community for collaboration and networking.2

In addition to Collabüro, Dourou has been the Owner/Manager of Eye Media Solutions Inc. since October 2002.2 He is fluent in both Arabic and English, with native or bilingual proficiency in both languages.2
