Chaabouni's educational background includes a Post Grad PhD Track in Computer Science and an MS in Computer Science from Wright State University, as well as a BS in Computer and Information Science from The Ohio State University.

Chaabouni has held various leadership positions in both the academic and corporate worlds, previously serving as Faculty at Ohio State University and Wright State University, respectively. He has also held executive roles in major corporations, including Deputy CIO at the Department of Technology at City of Columbus, Chief Information Officer at Hondros College and Title First Agency, and Majors Business Development Executive at Accela.
