Modupe Oyetade
Dental Surgeon
Dr. Modupe Oyetade is a multifaceted professional who combines her career as a dental surgeon with her passion for creative writing.12 She practices as a dentist at the University College Hospital and is also a prolific author of children's literature.
Dr. Oyetade started writing at the age of nine and has since authored numerous children's books, including the Ivana book series, which is part of the Nigerian primary school curriculum.1 Some of her other works include "Wura Gets a Goat," "Manna Smells a Rat," and two novels titled "F'resyne" and "The Horse in the Storm".1
In addition to her dental and writing careers, Dr. Oyetade has pursued further education in creative writing. She completed a Master of Arts in TV Fiction Writing at Glasgow Caledonian University.3 Her professional qualifications include BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery), MATV, CERT(IMPLANTOLOGY), and FWACS (Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons).4
