Moazam Khan

Moazam Khan is a co-founder of Curiato Inc., a digital health company that develops smart surface monitoring technology for healthcare facilities.23 He graduated with distinction from the University of Waterloo, earning both a BSc in 2016 and a Master of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology (MBET) in 2017.3
During his time at the University of Waterloo, Khan co-founded Curiato along with Zied Etleb and Matthew Sefati. The company's main product, PI CONNECT, is a smart bed cover that converts medical mattresses into smart beds, providing actionable patient insights for clinical decision support.12
Khan led Curiato from its initial ideation and clinical trials to commercialization, securing venture capital and international partnerships to accelerate growth.3 He is also the recipient of the Norman Esch Entrepreneurship Award and has served as an advisor to numerous early-stage ventures.3
As of February 14, 2025, Khan is no longer the CEO of Curiato Inc. In May 2021, the company announced a CEO transition, appointing Dr. Thomas P. Stewart as Interim CEO.1 Khan remains active on the Board of Directors and continues to serve within Curiato.1
Most recently, Khan has been named Director of Velocity Health, a platform for health tech startups at the University of Waterloo. In this role, he aims to develop a global network of health innovators and provide support for early-stage validation, clinical trials, and commercialization of health technologies.4
