Joy Ajlouny

Joy Ajlouny is a prominent entrepreneur, investor, and advisor who has made significant contributions to the tech and e-commerce industries in the Middle East and globally.14 She co-founded Fetchr, a Silicon Valley-backed logistics technology company, in 2015 to address the "no address" problem in Middle Eastern markets.23

As co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Fetchr, Ajlouny played a crucial role in raising substantial venture capital funding. The company secured $11 million in initial funding and $41 million in a Series B round in 2017.24 Under her leadership, Fetchr expanded to operate in five countries with over 3,500 employees and was recognized as the top startup in the Middle East by Forbes.2

Prior to Fetchr, Ajlouny founded Bonfaire, an e-commerce luxury fashion platform that was acquired by Moda Operandi in 2013.12 Her success in raising venture capital is particularly noteworthy, as she has raised over $100 million throughout her career, a significant achievement given that less than 3% of venture capital funding typically goes to women-led startups.24
