Miriam Ackerman

Miriam Ackerman is a highly creative and action-oriented individual with a history of blending innovative project coordination and management with creative solutions. Miriam has extensive experience in securing support and enthusiasm from individuals, communities, and organizations. She has been actively involved in arts industries, non-profit, and information technology for over 17 years, starting with the founding of Fill the Cup LLC during high school. Her education and experience have prepared her for leadership roles in for-profit, non-profit, and arts organizations.

During her time at Lawrence University, Miriam managed one of London's prestigious fringe theaters for a significant part of a year, showcasing her leadership and managerial skills. She later earned her master's degree in Management and Cultural Policy from Birkbeck College, University of London, while continuing to work in various capacities in the arts, including as a theatre producer, director, production designer, set designer, and website designer. Notable works include her role as an associate producer for the West End premiere of Neil LaBute's 'bash'.

Miriam's innovative spirit led her to create BeLive, a program that offers unique live virtual experiences in travel, arts, and education to seniors and individuals with disabilities, providing access to enriching opportunities. Her educational background includes studies in Arts History, Management, and Cultural Policy at Birkbeck, University of London, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Technical Theatre/Theatre Design and Technology from Lawrence University. She has held various key positions in organizations, such as Chief Strategy Officer at DNT BLNK, Co-Founder of NetGiver, Executive Creative Director at CommunO2, and roles in theatre management, arts organizations, and non-profits.
