Mir Islam

Mir Islam is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in Africa's power and renewable sector. He is the founder and CEO of EM-ONE Energy Solutions, a Canadian firm specializing in sustainable energy and smart electricity infrastructure.

Mir's expertise lies in providing power solutions to both rural and urban communities in Africa using global innovations and cutting-edge technologies. He has successfully overseen multiple engineering projects and consulting engagements, demonstrating a strong commitment to innovation and community service.

Under Mir's leadership, EM-ONE has delivered 400 containerized solar microgrids for rural applications and 20 advanced microgrids for larger off-takers like universities and hospitals in Nigeria and West Africa. They have collaborated with top technology firms, donor agencies, and frontline organizations to achieve impactful results.

Mir Islam holds an International MBA from Schulich School of Business at York University and has a background in Engineering from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. His diverse academic qualifications complement his practical experience in the energy industry, enabling him to drive sustainable solutions and foster development in underserved regions.

Prior to founding EM-ONE, Mir gained valuable experience as a Marketing Intern at CPCS TRANSCOM, further enriching his skill set and expanding his professional network.
