Mindy Burkitt

Mindy Burkitt is an accomplished archaeologist with extensive experience in all aspects of cultural resources inventory and mitigation. She has served as an assistant project manager and field director, leading field efforts and writing project reports. Mindy has a degree in Archaeology from Boston University and has participated in several archaeological and tribal surveys throughout her career. Her passion lies in merging the rigorous theory and methodology of academic archaeology with the necessarily expedited practices of Cultural Resource Management.
Mindy has worked with several organizations in the past, including SWCA Environmental Consultants, Kelly Services, Proyecto Investigacion Arqueologico Cheq'oq - Southern Methodist University, TRC Companies, Inc., City of Boston Archaeology Lab, Boston University Fitness and Recreation Center and Mervyns. She believes in bridging the theoretical and philosophical gaps between academic archaeology and Cultural Resource Management.
