PMPA represents leading companies in NAICS 332721, Precision machining, who make precision components for automotive , medical, aerospace, fluid power, electrical and electronic, machinery, off-road, and others. Parts are machined using multi- axis CNC, conventional, swiss type, multiple spindle automatics, and machining centers.

As Director, I prepare the PMPA's Technical, Business Intelligence, and Financial Research surveys and reporting; provide member support in Manufacturing, Safety, Quality, Market Research and Management issues; prepare and present over-the-horizon industry trends. Author, PMPA Material Impacts Reports, tracking Raw Materials costs trends and developments. Approximately 100 publications in Production Machining, Today's Machining World and other media. Over 2000 Technical, Quality, or Management related posts on Industry Listserves. Assist member companies with Crisis Management. Authored PMPA's report on our 2003 study mission to China.

I help my students transform their professional practice from "worker bee" to MBA "Sensemaker."  Major contributor to the development of curriculum and materials for MBA 702 course Quality and Performance Management. Primary developer of curriculum and materials for MBA 745 Data Analytics for Business Intelligence- major emphasis on making rigorous inferences from data using pivot tables, pivot charts, correlation, regression and other Excel based tools.
