Milan van Berlo

Milan van Berlo is a dedicated professional currently serving as a Blue Book Trainee at DG Budget Unit A1 of the European Commission, focusing on interinstitutional relations concerning budget committees.

Milan holds an Advanced MSc in International Relations and Diplomacy from a joint program by Leiden University and the Clingendael Institute, known for its expertise in Diplomacy.

His research interests encompass a wide array of topics such as EU foreign & security policy, EU enlargement & neighbourhood policy, international energy policy, institution & peace building, minority rights, populism, and conflict resolution.

He has contributed to the academic community with a published chapter on norm contestation in EU neighbourhood policy, available in Springer's book 'European Union Contested'.

Throughout his educational journey, Milan has completed various degrees including a Master of Science in International Relations and Diplomacy, an exchange semester in Political Science and International Relations, a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences with Honours, and a High School Diploma in Culture & Society with a focus on Culture & Economics.
