Mike Townsend is a seasoned entrepreneur with a diverse background in engineering, startups, and investor relations.

Starting as a design engineer at Brookstone in Singapore, he moved on to work as a mechanical engineer designing radar systems for UAVs at Exelis Inc in Los Angeles.

In 2012, Townsend co-founded ZingCheckout, a POS system for SMBs, which was later acquired by BigCommerce in 2015.

His podcast, Around The Coin, is a leading fintech/crypto show with over 225 episodes.

In San Francisco, he co-founded Flowtab, a mobile ordering app, and later started HomeHero in LA, a marketplace for in-home care for seniors, which he successfully sold.

He currently runs Redeeem.com, a profitable crypto trading platform, and Otter Labs, connecting South American developers with US startups.

Townsend is an avid Ironman triathlete and Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner, with a background in engineering from the University of Connecticut and UCLA.

He has been featured in top publications including Fortune, Forbes, and Wall Street Journal, and is active in mentoring and advising early-stage founders.
