Mike Smith

Mike Smith is a highly experienced Senior Patent Agent with a background in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the electrical and software arts. His expertise spans across various fields including telecommunications, renewable energy, electric vehicles, data storage, block chain applications, machine learning, artificial intelligence, among others. Mike also excels in counseling new and emerging companies on developing patent portfolios and collaborating with inventors to translate ideas into patentable inventions. He holds a B.S. in Physics with minors in Math and English from The George Washington University, is currently pursuing an M.S. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Twente, and has obtained a Juris Doctor from Cardozo School of Law. Throughout his career, Mike has held various notable positions such as Senior Patent Agent at AMPACC Law Group, PLLC, Perkins Coie LLP, Schwegman, Lundberg & Woessner, Ambature, and Director of Intellectual Property at Exbiblio, B.V. He has also served as a Patent Examiner in the Electrical Arts at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
