Mike Slawson

Mike Slawson is a seasoned entrepreneur, investor, and business strategist with extensive experience in conceiving, launching, and building successful startups that commercialize new technologies. His impressive career spans across various industries, from leading the development of a new IoT business within Georgia-Pacific to co-founding and leading two venture-backed startups. Mike has a proven track record of securing intellectual property, raising equity capital, building management teams, and landing strategic partnerships. He holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an MSEE in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University, and a BEEE in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from Vanderbilt University.

Currently, as the Director of Georgia-Pacific Ventures, Mike leverages his expertise to create mutually beneficial relationships between the startup and venture capital communities and Georgia-Pacific's business units. Previously, he served on the board of Invest Georgia, acted as Vice President and General Manager, and IoT Ecosystem Leader at Georgia-Pacific. He is also a former CEO and co-founder of Lumense and Qualtre, where he served as an advisory board chairman.
