Mike Slavich is the Director of Sustainability at Warner Bros. Entertainment, where he has been working since November 2005. In his role, he is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the studio's sustainability initiatives and aligning environmental measures with business goals.3

Slavich has been at the forefront of Warner Bros.' efforts to reduce the studio's carbon footprint and implement more environmentally friendly practices in film production.12 He has been working quietly towards waste reduction and sustainability for a long time, but the heightened awareness around climate change has led to more innovative collaborations and an increased willingness from cast and crew to adopt green practices.1

Slavich has been working with other major studios to share data and implement industry-wide benchmarks to better monitor Hollywood's impact on the environment.1 He believes that incorporating environmentally-friendly practices into production can be cost-beneficial in the long run, as it helps save on expenses like paper printing and plastic water bottles.1
