Mike Pierce

Mike Pierce, an experienced and driven Chief Technology Officer, Executive Partner, and Technology Strategy Consultant, has had a long and illustrious career in the Information Technology (IT) field. His prior experience includes working with industry giants such as Wal-Mart, Teleflora, and Petra Industries, where he helped develop and support highly complex and mission-critical e-commerce and operational systems. His duty in the US Army instilled in him invaluable traits such as attention to detail, creative problem-solving, and the drive to achieve mission success.

After his time at Wal-Mart's Information Systems Division, where he started his career, Mike led teams whose efforts resulted in the successful launch of Walmart.com, Samsclub.com and ASDA.com. He then moved to Teleflora, where he became instrumental in driving growth and leading teams in supporting B2C and B2B e-commerce systems, enterprise operational systems, customer support systems, partner integration systems, infrastructure, and facilities. He was progressively promoted to become Teleflora's Chief Information Officer (CIO), where he played a vital role in improving organizational processes, business strategy, and budget management.

Mike left Teleflora to take on the mantle of Vice President of Information Technology for a medium-sized electronic accessories distributor, and later as Executive Partner and Technology Strategy Consultant with Future Point of View. He now dedicates his time to advising technology and non-technology leaders on designing and using effective IT strategies to achieve business success, always being a step ahead of the competition.

Mike studied at Vilseck American High School and Cameron University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems. He is currently the President and CTO at Echidna.
