Mike Olver

Mike Olver is a Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Genesis Analytics, the largest economics-based consultancy in Africa, overseeing business growth and expansion across multiple international offices.

With over 11 years of experience, Mike has played a key role in establishing and scaling Genesis Analytics' presence in Dubai, India, Kenya, and the UK, focusing on recruitment, acquisitions, operational efficiency, and company culture.

As a qualified Chartered Accountant, Mike brings a wealth of financial expertise to his current role, having previously served as the Learning Director at Deloitte Southern Africa, significantly growing the Learning business in a short span of time.

Apart from his corporate roles, Mike is actively involved in academia, lecturing part-time in accounting and financial management at the Gordon Institute of Business Science, leveraging his extensive facilitation experience gained over 16 years in the US, Europe, and South Africa.

Beginning his career in the audit division of Deloitte Johannesburg, Mike later expanded his professional horizons by working in the Deloitte Chicago office, where he managed large multinational clients across diverse sectors before returning to South Africa as an Audit Senior Manager.
