Mike Nelson is married to Cindy, and they have two adult children, Christiana and Anders, along with three grandchildren. He enjoys spending time with his family and their two dogs, Harper and Tahlula.15
As of February 2024, Nelson announced his plans to retire after a celebrated career, with his final broadcast scheduled for December 12, 2024.25
