Mike McCourt

Mike McCourt is a professional with a diverse background in economics, marketing, and business information technology systems.

He holds a BA in Economics & Marketing from the University of Strathclyde and a Post-graduate Diploma in Business Information Technology Systems from the University of the West of Scotland.

With an extensive professional journey, Mike has held key positions in various organizations focusing on international trade, healthcare, science & technology, and business advisory services in China.

Notable roles include being the China Head of Healthcare and Assistant Director Life Sciences & Healthcare at the Department for International Trade (DIT).

Prior to this, he served as the General Manager for East & South China and Science & Technology Team Leader for Greater China at Scottish Development International.

His experience also includes working as a Senior Consultant in Greater China & North Asia at Control Risks and as a Senior Account Manager for North China in Global Client Services at Control Risks.

Furthermore, Mike has held roles such as Head of Business Advisory at China-Britain Business Council, Senior Manager at Dalian Software Park Co. Ltd, and Instructor at Dalian Maple Leaf Institute of Technology/International School.

Before these positions, he served as a Development Executive at Services to Software Ltd and occupied various corporate finance roles at Business Ventures Ltd (UK).
