This early adaptation to the digital wave laid the groundwork for his extensive and illustrious career in digital marketing.
Later, in 1997, Mike became a key player at a growing e-commerce startup called Digital River, joining as employee number 38. At Digital River, he was part of a dynamic environment that fostered innovation in e-commerce, email marketing, web design, and digital marketing strategies. His ability to juggle multiple accounts showcased his prowess as a marketing strategist, allowing him to hone his skills further before branching out onto the client side with companies like Jostens, Lifetouch, and FanBuzz (ShopNBC).
Mike's experience across various industries has equipped him with the knowledge and skills required to drive traffic, engagement, and online presence through diverse digital channels including Paid, Organic Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Pay for Performance Affiliate Marketing, and Local Search.
In 2006, he took a significant step and transitioned to consulting, where his vast experience allowed him to leverage an extensive network and client base. The inception of NordicClick Interactive in 2007 marked a new milestone in Mike's career. As co-founder and owner, he led NordicClick to become a full-service digital marketing agency located in the picturesque Excelsior, Minnesota, by the scenic Lake Minnetonka. Under Mike's leadership, NordicClick has gained acclaim for its capacity to help businesses establish their digital footprint and effectively reach their target audience across all digital channels.
