Mike Freeman

Mike Freeman is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. He specializes in startup ecosystem development, venture capital investments, and economic development. He is the General Partner of Innosphere Ventures Fund, a startup commercialization program, and invests in seed stage or A round investments in B2B SaaS, cleantech, and MedTech startups.

Freeman has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and studied Public Administration at The George Washington University. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of companies such as Microgrid Labs, GelSana Therapuetics, and Catalyze Inc. He has also held executive positions including Chief Executive Officer at Innosphere Ventures and Local Government Solutions Group, City Administrator at City of Ashland, and Chief Financial Officer at City of Fort Collins.

His expertise lies in startup incubation, venture capital investments, economic development, public administration, and financial management. Freeman is passionate about supporting high-growth potential startups and has spent years building and nurturing startup ecosystems.
