Mike Evans

Michael Jonas Evans (November 3, 1949 – December 14, 2006) was an influential American actor and television writer, widely recognized for his role as Lionel Jefferson on the iconic sitcoms All in the Family and its spinoff The Jeffersons. Born in Salisbury, North Carolina, Evans moved to Los Angeles with his family during his childhood. He graduated from Los Angeles High School and later studied acting at Los Angeles City College.12

Evans's breakout role came when he was cast as Lionel Jefferson, the son of George and Louise Jefferson, in All in the Family.
