Mike Barinek is a seasoned Founder and Lead Developer at Initial Capacity, a cutting-edge software consultancy dedicated to enhancing software development processes and the experiences of those involved in it. Prior to his current position, Mike held key roles where he showcased exceptional leadership and technical prowess. As the overseer of VMware Tanzu Application Services (Pivotal Labs) for the Americas, he managed a substantial team of 180 consultants and nurtured the significant growth of the Mountain/Central region, achieving remarkable year-over-year advancement since the inception of Pivotal Labs Boulder in 2010.

Mike Barinek is equipped with extensive proficiency in a variety of programming languages such as Golang, Java, Kotlin, Ruby, and location-based services. His vast skill set combined with a fervor for collaborating with entrepreneurs has enabled him to deliver exceptional solutions to clients. Under his guidance, he has spearheaded the development of large-scale enterprise applications, consumer web platforms, and mobile apps for renowned entities including Best Buy, National Health Service, Volkswagen, Abbott, and Twitter.
