Mike Asem

Mike Asem is a Founding Partner at M25, a venture capital investment firm based in the Greater Chicago Area. As a founding partner, he has managed over 100 investments in early-stage, tech-enabled startups primarily in the Midwest region since joining the firm in June 2016.12

Professional Background

Prior to M25, Mike founded The Anvil, a co-working space and startup incubator on Purdue University's campus. There, he helped launch the first Purdue startup to be accepted to Y Combinator and many others that went on to raise venture capital and get acquired.1

Mike graduated from Purdue University with a BA in 2014.1 He is currently:

• A Kauffman Fellow (Class 24)
• A national board member of BLCK VC, where he leads initiatives in the Midwest to connect, engage, empower, and advance Black venture investors12

In his personal life, Mike resides in Chicago with his wife, Erikka. His hobbies include making wine, eating sushi, following Chicago sports, and traveling.1
