Miguel Vega

Miguel J. Vega is a Partner at Cooley LLP, where he leads the Boston business and finance group and is a member of the mergers and acquisitions group. His legal practice primarily involves representing both private and public companies in various transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures, and financing deals. He has significant experience advising public companies on SEC compliance, stockholder activism, and corporate governance matters.12

Vega has an extensive track record in the legal field, having participated in over 200 venture capital financings and 150 M&A transactions. Some notable achievements include:

• Advising on more than 25 public offerings of equity and/or debt.
• Representing Frontline Education in a $3.725 billion sale to Roper Technologies.
• Facilitating a $2.6 billion acquisition for a public company through a "Reverse Morris Trust" transaction.
• Guiding a public company in a $1.3 billion cash tender offer and merger.12

He earned his Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law in 1993 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College, graduating cum laude in 1990.
