Mick Bass

Mick Bass is a seasoned business and technology leader currently serving as the Vice President at Hitachi Vantara, specifically at 47Lining, a Hitachi Vantara Company, since October 2018. He is based in Boulder, Colorado, and is responsible for scaling the team and capabilities of 47Lining, integrating with Hitachi's Industrial IoT portfolio, and developing scalable industrial process optimization solutions for various sectors including Oil & Gas, Mining, Energy, and Manufacturing.1

Prior to his role at Hitachi Vantara, Mick Bass was the CEO of 47Lining, where he led the team in developing big data solutions and managed services on Amazon Web Services (AWS). His extensive experience includes positions such as CTO and Vice President at Deluxe Entertainment Services Group and various roles at Hewlett-Packard Company, where he spent nearly two decades.1

Mick holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Science in Management of Technology from the MIT Sloan School of Management. He is also certified as an AWS Solutions Architect.1
