Mick Bass is a seasoned professional in the field of data and industrial process optimization. He co-founded 47Lining, an Amazon Web Services Premier Consulting Partner with Big Data and Machine Learning Competency designations, and served as CEO until its acquisition by Hitachi Vantara. Currently, he leads the 47Lining business and team within Hitachi Vantara.
Mick has a track record of helping global enterprises transform their organizations by framing and executing transformational industrial process optimization initiatives that create value at scale. His expertise lies in the architecture of repeatable, scalable solutions that cater to data warehousing, cloud-native data lakes, Internet-of-Things analytics back-ends, predictive analytics and machine learning. He also possesses extensive experience in multiple industries ranging from oil & gas, mining, energy, life sciences, gaming, retail analytics, financial services, and media & entertainment.
Mick holds an MS in Management of Technology, Business from MIT Sloan School of Management and a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Some of his notable employment positions include CTO, Advertising Services, and Vice President, Advertising Technology & Services, both at Deluxe Entertainment Services Group. Additionally, he held positions at Ascent Media, Hewlett-Packard Company, and Bishop McNamara High School.
