Michelle Knighton

Michelle Knighton is an accomplished Regulatory Affairs professional with years of experience in the healthcare industry. She holds a Master's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Managing Clinical Information Systems from Stephens College in addition to a degree in Health Information Administration from Indiana University Bloomington. Her areas of expertise include Healthcare Management, Testing and Certification Management, Federal Policy, Accreditation, and Healthcare Consulting.

Michelle has held various leadership roles throughout her career, including Regulatory Programs Director at NextGen Healthcare, Corporate Regulatory Affairs Director at Medsphere Systems Corporation, VP Federal Policy & Governmental Affairs at Wellsoft, A Division of Medsphere Systems Corporation, among others.

As a former HIM Manager at Samaritan Health Services, she brings a unique perspective to her work, having witnessed firsthand the challenges and opportunities within different types of healthcare organizations. Michelle is also an Online Adjunct Faculty at a number of universities, sharing her knowledge with students pursuing careers in the healthcare industry.
